FULL TIME POSITION
Position Summary:
The Meadows Country Club is looking for Summer Sport Camp Counselors for our 2023 Summer Sports Camp.
Hours are 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday from June 5, 2023 through August 4, 2023.
Activities include tennis, golf, swimming, basketball, soccer and pickleball.

Pay range: $13.

Essential Job Functions:
Oversees the daily operations of recreational facilities.
Plans and leads activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games.
Enforces camp rules and regulations and ensures safety in the recreational facilities.
Performs first aid following prescribed procedures and contacts emergency medical personnel when required by the situation.
Demonstrates use of recreational equipment and teaches participants the principles, techniques, and safety procedures for each activity.
Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other campers; explains camp and facility rules.
Reports camper complaints to leadership and works to resolve issues.
Performs other related duties as required.

Educations/Certificates/Licenses/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Background/Knowledge/Skills:
Must be hospitality focused and remain professional at all times.
Previous experience working with children preferred.
Must pass reference checks and background screening
Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to learn and enforce the camp’s safety and operating rules.
Must attend staff meetings and orientation during the summer season.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
At times, may be required to operate a motor vehicle.
Able to participate in games, sports, and physical activities including water-based games and activities.
Able to maintain attention and high level of energy or excitement for extended periods of time.
Must be able to spend majority the time outdoors and tolerate a variety of weather conditions.
