We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at the Original Wolfies Bakery.
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations within Sarasota country.
This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Load and unload goods and materials from the truck
- Properly secure cargo and materials efficiently, arranging the goods by balancing it with the vehicle.
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the Bakery Management or Operations Manager.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Ensuring proper administrative procedures are followed through the course of delivery operations.
- Obtain customer signatures at every delivery/pickup, collect payments when needed, and present a professional, helpful, and friendly Company image.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, charges are correct, and customer is satisfied.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Maintain open communication with Bakery Management or Operational Manager for changes to deliveries or pick-ups
- Assist with Bakery duties as needed, including organizing and storing goods
- Crating efficient routes and inspecting and maintaining the delivery vehicles safety.
This includes filling up on fuel and cleaning the inside of the truck after it is used, inspecting the truck before and after a trip and recording any defects.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to the appropriate personnel
Requirements:
- Valid
driver's license with a clean driving record
-Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to load and unload goods
- Must pass background check
-Excellent time Management skills to meet delivery schedules.
-Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or similar role
- Ability to work independently and carry out work assignments to the highest quality level.
