*CDL Class A Driver - Semi Truck*
Sutter’s Transport seeks an experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team.
As a Sutter’s driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across various locations.
Sutter’s operates within the food service industry and is a premier dairy distributor and ice cream manufacturer in Sarasota, FL.
The company is expanding quickly and has four interconnected business entities that transport, warehouse, manufacture, and deliver products to our customers throughout the southeast United States.
All loads run with a reefer unit with either frozen or refrigerated temperatures.
*Strategic Priorities for this role:*
* Safely operate a semi-truck with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)
* Transport goods from one location to another, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any issues or malfunctions
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
* Flexibility to reset on the road
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
* Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and maintenance
*We are looking for the following:*
* Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL Class A Semi Truck Driver
* Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
* Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
* Ability to communicate in English
* High school diploma or equivalent
*Reports to*: Route Supervisor/TMS

60 per mile, depending upon experience
* $25 Pay per stop and $100 detention pay
