is a premier provider of Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care is seeking a *Van Driver* for our community in Sarasota Florida *- Elance at Sarasota.

*JOB DESCRIPTION: Van DRIVER*
* Provides safe transportation service to the residents of the community.
* Reports to and supervised by the Life Enrichment Director.
*Functions:*
*POLICY/PROCEDURES/ADMINISTRATION*
* Provides van transportation to the residents of the community on a scheduled basis and for special trips sponsored through the Life Enrichment program.
* Assists in developing routes and schedules based on resident needs and requests.
* Keeps appropriate records.
Maintains mileage log, repair logs, trips and expenses as required.
* Keeps receipts for expenses and submits them to the Life Enrichment Director.
* Keeps van clean inside and out.
Insures routine maintenance and needed repairs are performed in a timely manner.
* Reports any incidents or accidents to the Community Administrator immediately.
* Maintains a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the department.
* Attends all staff meetings and in-services as required by supervisor.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
*RESIDENTS*
* Assists residents on and off the van as needed.
* Is conscious of resident safety during trips on the van.
*STAFF*
* Assists with activities as needed.
*REQUIREMENTS*
* Must have safe driving record.
A copy of Division of Motor Vehicle Driving Record must be given to the Business Office Manager upon hire.
* Copy of active photo driver’s license must be on file.
* Preferably should have, or obtain through the community, a Virginia Commercial Drivers
*License with a Passenger Endorsement, if a CDL is required for the size of the community’s van.

* Must have or obtain, through the community, a CPR Certification.
* Must have or obtain, through the community, a First Aid Certification.
* Must be physically and mentally capable of carrying out the job responsibilities.
* Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, operate a wheelchair lift and push a resident in a wheelchair.
* Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs.
of force occasionally and exert up to 25 lbs.
of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
* Must represent the community in a professional manner with neat dress and courteous manners.
* Must have strong customer service skills.
