A rare Italian Aprilia model Scarabeo (owned by Piaggio/Vespa) reconditioned in late 2021.
She's truly beautiful, an Italian work of art.
Scarabeo is the classic retro design.
The sticker price was $5000, plus $400 for top trunk.
This is the pioneer 16" high wheel maxi-scooter with Aprilia's racing pedigree.
The scooter is great for around town, the highway or even touring with its 244 CC, 4 valve Piaggio motor.
This is a muscular and fast road machine.
She tops out at 87 MPH and sips fuel at 70 MPG.
The scooter was made in Italy -- so no Chinese parts! Aprilia exported this Scarabeo into Canada from 2005 -- 2010.

I'm the second owner and had the Fort Myers Vespa dealer fully recondition her in November 2021 at 18,000 miles ($1600).
Since then, I've replaced the battery, fuel pump and rear shock ($700).
