* Implements and maintains a safe workplace program, ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
* Supervises the activities of NCN Electricians, Mechanics, Apprentices, and Helpers.
* Evaluates material needs for tasking and assigns duties as appropriate to subordinate staff.
* Advises Project Manager of job progress, material requirements and personnel matters.
* Interprets schedules, design drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams to carry out tasking.
* Identifies unsafe conditions and/or NEC violations, documents them, and corrects noncompliance.
* Works directly with other departments to plan and complete tasking.
* Ensures staff attendance of required trainings and maintains records of departmental trainings.
* Evaluates job hazards and communicates information to staff verbally and in writing through various venues, including weekly and daily crew meetings.
* Provide suggestions and recommendations for re-hiring, termination, and advancement of staff.
* Provides required documentation and communication internal and external customers including design team, project manager, superintendent, field staff, etc.
* Communicate with AHJ for inspections and compliance with NEC and local codes.

Skills and Experience
* Must be able to pro-actively identify job hazards and communicate those hazards effectively.
* Must have computer experience and be able to learn and utilize work order and timesheet software programs.
* Minimum of 4 years field experience as Journeyman or above.
* Ability to work in a job site construction environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
* Ability to stand and walk for majority of 8-to-10-hour day, bend, climb ladders 6 to 15 feet above ground level, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High school degree or equivalent.
* Considerable knowledge of the standard practices, materials, and processes of the electrical trade and NEC.
* Considerable knowledge of the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical instruments, apparatus, and equipment.
* Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary for electrical work.
* Ability to understand and work from blueprints, schematics, sketches.
* Ability to plan work and develop designs from sketches.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Ability to estimate and procure materials and labor.
* Ability to keep accurate records, coordinate written work requests and work orders, and maintain good inventory records.
* Good computer skills.
* Physical ability and dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job.
