Atlas Organics is looking for a *Heavy Equipment Operator* to join our team in *Sarasota, FL*! The Loader/Operator will safely operate heavy equipment, such as loaders, grinders, shredders and screens to manufacture compost and other soil amendments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Safely and effectively operate various forms of heavy equipment to move product and feed shredders, grinders and screens.
* Upload Daily Production Reports
* Safely load product onto roll off containers or walking floor trailers.
* Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
* Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
* Observe and comply with all applicable safety regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
* Maintain collaborative working relationship with drivers, operators and coworkers.
* Participate in external, Department and Company-wide trainings to increase skill sets and improve service.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
* One (1) year of related experience using heavy equipment required.
* Experience in the compost industry a plus
* Certification a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Outdoor work environment
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
