Concrete Estimator - Minimum of 5 years Construction Estimating REQUIRED

*Job Description* Responsible for accurate and timely estimates for bidding projects as assigned by the senior estimator.
This position shall assist in maintaining and upholding all company policies as they pertain to relationships with company personnel, vendors, and customers.
The estimator shall have a good understanding of company production rates and keep informed of the status of current jobs by watching daily production rates in the time entry system.
*Estimator Duties* * Learn all aspects takeoff system and estimating with Procontractor.
* Estimate both commercial and residential projects as directed by the the senior estimator.
* Estimate change orders for the project managers.
* Have estimates done and reports available in time to allow the owner to go over and prepare the bid.
* Bid and create proposals for both complete projects and residential projects when directed or in the absence of the senior estimator.
* Maintain database of production rates on completed projects and verify their accuracy and use them to estimate future projects.
* Record phone calls, emails that contain information about scope, pricing, scheduling etc.
when creating estimates on jobs.
* Attend prebid meetings when directed by the senior estimator.
* Create bid solicitations to suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
* Maintain a file of quotes and other related documents for each job estimated.
* Attend pre-award meetings with the potential client if needed.
* Prepare awarded estimates and turnover reports for the turnover meeting.
* Attend all turnover meetings with the senior estimator, project manager, superintendent, and foreman.
* Lead the turnover meeting when directed or in the absence of the senior estimator.
* Watch job cost as jobs are in process to gain a better understanding of all costs and production rates.
* Build relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $90,000.
00 - $115,000.
