Irrigation Technician, Grounds

The Academy Grounds, Irrigation Technician will be responsible for maintaining the campus of property on a day-to-day basis while assuming responsibility for the property’s maintenance.
Position Responsibilities • Responsible for irrigation inspection, repair and installation • Maintains tools and equipment • Other essential tasks as assigned by the supervisor Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience • Working knowledge of Toro and/or Rain Bird irrigation equipment • Self-Starter • Progressive experience with employer focused on irrigation • Ability to work outdoors 365 days a year • Ability to perform routine maintenance repairs with limited supervision Preferred Skills • Bilingual Physical Demands and Work Environment • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40-70 lbs.
• Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, stairs, etc.
• This role is considered essential and may be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures in order to meet operational requirements
