As a Crew Leader, we will expect the following:
You will direct the work of 2-5 crew members.
You will ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to White Diamond Landscape’s quality standards.
As a crew leader, you will oversee crews in varying service lines, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and seasonal mulching.
A strong work ethic is needed to accomplish this job successfully.
You will be responsible for the following while accomplishing general landscaping duties (listed below):
* Performance & Quality
* Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members
* Maintain a schedule
* Ensuring landscape service expectations are met
* Identify more efficient ways to perform work
* Maintain assigned equipment and notify Production Manager of needed repairs
* Report to work at the required time and perform duties as assigned by the Production Manager
Client Satisfaction:
* Relay client concerns to the Production Manager and proactively assist in achieving a resolution
* Crew Management:
* Provide the Production Manager with feedback on crew members
* Assist the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members
* Submit accurate crew time logs
* Respond politely to customer inquiries and projects a professional image
Safety:
* Ensure all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies
* Ensure equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance
General Landscaping Requirements:
* Perform planting and related activities Move heavy materials and equipment
* Dig/Excavate holes and trenches using picks and shovels or related equipment
* Haul/Spread topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch, or related materials using wheelbarrows and rakes and sometime by hand
Work 8+ hours per day, 5 days/week (with overtime)
Experience:
* Landscaping: 2 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
* Driver's License
Additional desired qualities, however not required
* Knowledge of blueprints
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Bilingual (Spanish)
* Irrigation certification
* Physical Demands
* Load equipment and materials on and off trucks and trailers
* Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees in the summer, and is often wet and cold in the winter
* Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
