Project Scheduler

Reimagine What’s Possible Project Scheduled Roles and Responsibilities: We are seeking a project scheduler within our production manufacturing team located at Port Manatee facility reporting to the Global Projects, Proposals, and Planning Manager.
The facility primarily manufactures heat exchangers that are used throughout the world to liquefy natural gas to facilitate transportation of LNG.
Each project is unique and presents one-of-a-kind challenges.
The position is accountable for developing and implementing scheduling and forecasting processes for the project duration for LNG exchangers and cryogenic equipment and modules.
Responsibilities include handling the schedule for internally sourced and contracted third party fabricators.
The position will measure and report against agreed baselines, perform schedule and cost analysis, and report out variances along with actionable schedule data to the Project team.
The position works with Project Management, Project Engineers, Cost Engineers, Shop Floor Supervisors and Leads, third-party contractors, project controls staff and other functional specialists, as required.
The function plays a key project team integration role and is expected to be knowledgeable across all functional areas of the project.
You will be assigned multiple projects and will be responsible for schedule development, cost reporting/ forecasting, and supporting schedule analysis across the range of projects.
Principal accountabilities Establish and maintain overall Shop Schedules, Critical Path & Resource Loaded (including steps) showing the entire portfolio of projects in the Shop.
Generate and maintain Schedule for Proposals & and forecast costs.
Lead Recovery Schedule discussions with understanding of CPM (Critical Path Methodology) to shorten or maintain schedule.
Develop and Communicate Project Progress reports (in MS Excel) with actionable details for management.
Maintain Project Schedule templates in accordance with Project execution requirements.
Job requirements Communicate in a large project team/group settings the status of all projects.
Intermediate knowledge of Primavera P6 including but not limited to, building schedules, using Codes to filter data, assigning/maintain Steps (with hours), resourcing assignment (with budgets and actuals) and using reporting tools in the software.
MS Project, SAP and/or EcoSys experience a plus.
Proficiency with MS Excel to use the data exported from P6/SAP to build tables/charts for reporting to management of all levels.
Ability to work as a team and maintain a positive disposition even in times of high stress and workload.
Flexibility to respond to urgent requests and changing priorities.
Work independently, being accountable for accomplishing work with minimal direction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to take initiative with an entrepreneurial demeanor.
Education and Licensing Requirements: Position requires a minimum of 3 years major project Scheduling experience with assignments of growing responsibility, complexity, and scope.
Experience in the Energy/Chemical processing industries is a plus.
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical related field.
Experience in Earned Value Management Systems and reporting a plus.
