We are seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to join our SimplyDwell team in the Manatee/Sarasota area.
The Assistant Construction Manager will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of all field construction.
They will work closely with the Construction Manager and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lock and unlock all production homes daily
Inspect each room in every house daily to verify compliance with the required construction standards
Maintain community cleanliness and job site appearance
Maintain a daily walk list of all homes under production
Enforce OSHA guidelines and hold subcontractors accountable for non-compliance
Learn all aspects of the construction process, effectively use BuildPro, and communicate with trades
Actively participate in the weekly construction/sales updates
Ensure production projections are accurate, and houses are completed on time and meet the SimplyDwell standards
Communicate with customers regularly on the build process and schedule
Complete and review the orientation list, one-month list, and 1-year warranty with customers.
Submit Variance Purchase Orders (VPO) to the Project Manager or Construction Manager for approval
Monitor the home's progress and check thoroughly before all stages of construction
Foster teamwork with sales, designers, and trades
Participate in continuing education through seminars, conferences, and training programs

WHAT YOU BRING:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
College coursework in Construction Management is preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the home building industry is highly desired
Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable personal transportation required for daily travel
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans, scopes of work, and community features.
Problem and conflict resolution skills, ability to prioritize work tasks, and teamwork and customer satisfaction orientation are required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines
Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20/60/100 pounds regularly
The ability to move safely over uneven terrain
Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
The ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
Continuous walking, standing, and moving about
Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs
Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions
