We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Person with a strong emphasis on Heavy Equipment Repair Operations, Forklift Welding, and Preventative Maintenance, including replacing conveyor belts.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems, welding techniques, and electrical knowledge is a plus.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our facility's equipment and machinery.
Requirements:
Heavy Equipment Repair Operations:
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and cranes.
Welding:
Weld and fabricate components for forklifts as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Conduct welding repairs on structural components and attachments.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Conveyor Belt Maintenance:
Monitor the condition of conveyor belts and identify signs of wear or damage.
Replace conveyor belts and repair components to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of conveyor systems.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery.
Lubricate moving parts, inspect belts, and replace worn-out components to prevent costly repairs and downtime.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Electrical Knowledge:
Troubleshoot electrical systems and components as needed.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, fixtures, and controls.
Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in facility maintenance, heavy equipment repair, and welding operations.
Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Familiarity with conveyor systems and experience in replacing conveyor belts.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Knowledge of electrical systems and controls is an advantage.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in related fields is preferred.

Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
