*Job Overview:*
As a Structural Steel Estimator, you will play a key role in the construction project lifecycle by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for structural steel components.
Your responsibilities will include interpreting project specifications, reading blueprints, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure precise estimations.

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Analyze contract documents including drawings, specifications, general conditions, and special provisions.
* Understand contractual terms and conditions.
* Understand and foresee complex fabrication and erection scenarios and adjust to account for them in bid proposal.
* Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
* Provide clear and detailed quantity take offs for materials, shop labor, field labor, and / or equipment requirements.
* Prepare proposals including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, detailing, installation / erection, and various other special conditions.
* Note and reference any areas of the bid documents that require additional explanation and if allowances or exclusions must be noted.
*Qualifications and Experience:*
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the construction field in similar or related position.
* Previous experience estimating commercial general contracting projects into the 2-million-dollar range.
* Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
* Preferably Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, and Stack
* Must be knowledgeable in the construction process including estimating, bidding, purchasing, subcontractor negotiation, and design / construction technology.
* Must present the ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent skills in plan and specification reading.
* Exceptional communication skills.
