00/hour commensurate with experience Employment Type: Hourly Full-time Position Summary: The Production Assistant is responsible for assisting the Production Manager and production staff with operations, by entering and maintaining product data, performing secondary operations, and helping with maintenance, in a work environment that spans Batching, Filling, Packing.
Key Responsibilities: Assist Production Manager with routine activities associated with manufacturing software such as data entry, virtual product management, work orders, routings, schedules, data records, etc.
Assist Production Supervisors and Crew Leaders during the production process daily, performing numerous tasks as needed including production schedules, coordinating between departments, reviewing staffing tables, and ensuring adequate material availability.
Assist Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
Moving raw materials, finished products, Receiving/Shipping, etc.
Help with quality checks, inspections, examining documents, products, materials, and work processes for efficiency, accuracy and conformance.
Gather and record relevant production data during every shift and create detailed reports of production rates, inventory levels, raw materials used, etc.
Must be able to work assigned shifts and be available for overtime and weekend work shifts, as necessary.
Address production issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree in business, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Prior experience in food-related manufacturing/production preferred.
Prior training in Food Safety, GMP’s, GLP or HACCP.
Previous team/crew leader experience in a manufacturing/production setting.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently.
Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP’s).
Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions within the scope of the position.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to maintain strict customer and corporate confidentiality.
Physical Demands: Regularly stand, walk, use hands to fingers, lift, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch or crawl.
Lift up to 50 lbs.

of force when moving boxes and other goods.
Demonstrate good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, calculators and various machines.
Wear personal protective equipment correctly during the day as needed.
Work in a variety of environments both in a shop or outside in heat or cold temperatures.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a fast-paced, high volume, manufacturing environment.
Must be able to tolerate frequent interruptions from customers, staff, and others.
Must be able to tolerate temperature changes in the work environment.
Must be able to work in a noisy environment (with proper PPE).
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
