The Accounting Clerk performs a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions in an organization
Essential Duties
Open, sort, distribute mail and drop off packages
Maintain a financial filing system
Sort and code overhead invoices
Obtain appropriate approval to process invoices and check requests for payment
Enter and upload invoices into system
Assist in preparing check runs
Assist in month-end procedures
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Assist in providing supporting documentation for audits
Update company directory on a monthly basis
Track employee birthdays and coordinate birthday celebrations on a monthly basis
Assist with other accounting projects in the office

Familiar with a company Chart of Accounts Structure
Job Qualifications
Minimum Education: Associates Degree.
Minimum Experience: 2 years.
Preferred Experience: 3-4 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Excel and other accounting software
