POSITION SUMMARY: The individual will be responsible for the Company’s accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports.
This position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and third-party audits.
This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets for all activities for review and approval prior to the beginning of each fiscal year.
Maintaining the company Accounting Manual by initiating, preparing, and issuing standards relating to all accounting matters and procedures for coordinating system throughout the Company.
Assisting in coordinating year-end audit work with outside auditor.
Preparing or causing to be prepared the following items: Reports and statistical data required by laws, rules and/or regulations.
Supporting information for the completion of tax returns.
Other reports as requested.
Maintaining, coordinating, and implementing accounting rules and procedures as prescribed by regulatory agencies, governing bodies, and generally accepted accounting principles for all Company entities.
Coordinating accounting functions with all other departments or operating divisions in the Company, timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee the reconciling of monthly reports and preparation of monthly Financial Statements.
Review monthly Financial Statements when completed and provide authorization to finalize.
Cash Management of the Company Reconcile corporate bank accounts.
Review and approve GL coding on purchase card statements.
Approval of Corporate Invoices.
Initiating Money Transfers.
Working closely with facility Bookkeepers, Administrators and Regional staff to assist with questions concerning accounting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in accounting or in business with equivalent accounting work experience Five years work experience in accounting or related field Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite and basic computer skills Aptitude for mathematics Efficient communication skills Ability to meet deadlines
